WHAT WE BELIEVE

Victorious Life Worship Center believes in the essential doctrines of Protestant Christianity. These doctrines include:

1. God as a Triune Being—Father, Son, Holy Spirit
2. The Divine Inspiration and Infallibility of the Bible
3. The Virgin Birth of Jesus Christ as God’s only begotten son and sinless life
4. Salvation comes through faith in Jesus Christ
5. The Ordinances of Water Baptism and Communion
6. The Baptism in the Holy Spirit
7. The Gifts of the Spirit
8. The Mission of the Church to take the Gospel into the world and make disciples of Jesus Christ
9. The Rapture of the Church and the Second Coming of Jesus Christ
10. The Final Judgment where people are sentenced to hell or granted entrance into Heaven.

Further, when the Church meets together corporately to worship we emphasize the following:

WORSHIPING IN “SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH”

(Jesus said) “The hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him. (24) God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.

THE GIFT OF PROPHECY

“The Lord God has spoken; who can but prophesy?” (Amos 3:8)

“The one who prophesies speaks to people for their up-building and encouragement and consolation. (4) . . . The one who prophesies builds up the church.”

“For to one is given through the Spirit the (gift of) . . . (9) prophecy” (1 Cor. 12:8—9).

SPEAKING WITH TONGUES AND INTERPRETATION OF TONGUES IN THE CHURCH

“Earnestly desire to prophesy, and do not forbid speaking in tongues” (1 Cor. 14:39).

“To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good” (1 Cor. 12:7).

“To another various kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues” (1 Cor. 12:10).

“If any speak in a tongue, let there be only two or at most three, and each in turn, and let someone interpret” (1 Cor. 14:27).

THE WHOLE CHURCH PRAYING AT ONCE FOR SPECIFIC NEEDS

“When they heard it, they lifted their voices together to God and said, “Sovereign Lord, who made the heaven and the earth and the sea and everything in them” (Acts 4:24).
